Hello, my name is Joshua Louis. I am a nursing student at National University of Singapore (NUS) and have previously volunteered at Assisi Hospice during my secondary school days. I am a lively person who loves to communicate with my patients. I am trustworthy and firm in my dealings. Serving my National Service (NS) in the Singapore Police Force (SPF) has taught me valuable life lessons such as how to handle difficult situations and difficult people. I have my experience in the hospitals, caring for patients, to bank on. I have provided nursing care under supervision in polyclinic, community hospital, acute hospital and home nursing settings thus far. I am also learning how to be a registered nurse as I feel that caregiving is the most basic thing that nurses should do. I feel that by providing care to my patients I am able to learn more about their condition and this will allow me to provide them with a more tailored nursing approach. I can speak English, Tamil and very little Mandarin. I spend time with my friends, family and am involved in many projects at school. I try and keep myself active and look for new activities to learn such as diving, golf, etc.
