Chi Kuan is a registered nurse, and she has completed a Bachelor of Nursing in 2017. She has great interests in nursing, global health, and maternal health. In addition, being a midwife is part of her dream. Currently, she is studying midwifery course at Mahsa University. Tentatively, she will be graduating this year and will be sitting for the midwifery board exam in September. Chi Kuan believes that nursing is a lifelong learning process and never enough. During the pandemic period, she has completed 3 online courses from Harvard University and Salisbury University. Chi Kuan has 7 years of nursing experience in a tertiary hospital. She is competent in IV cannulation, venepuncture, Vac dressing, care of patient pre-and post-surgery, transplant care, and many more. Besides that, she is a preceptor in the ward to provide guidance to student nurses and new staffs and facilitate staffing assignment in the ward to ensure adequate staffing coverage. Furthermore, Chi Kuan is ERAS (enhanced recovery after surgery- an evidence-based practice champion) trained and implemented this piloted project in Surgical wards. Chi Kuan wishes to provide the best nursing practice to the public and she believes to keep knowledge up to date and continue learning are the key factors.
