About the Caregiver

I have 25 years of Early Childhood and Special Needs Education experience, specifically with children with Autism & Dyslexia. I am able to work on the child's Individualized Education Program (IEP), partnering with children and their families to bring them to the next level. I believe that there isn't a one size fits all template in educating and caring for children, as each child learns and behaves differently. My strengths lie in seeing and understanding the world through the eyes of each child, and catering to their specific needs in both education and care.

I am able to work well with both children and the elderly. In terms of caring for elderly, I have been the main caregiver for my mother since she fell sick in November of 2019. I received my Caregiver Training from NUH when my mother was a patient there, from the team of nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and I have been caring for my mother full-time since then. Having taken on that role, I understand the needs of the elderly patient as well as the needs of their family members. With my mother recovering well, I would like to share my caregiving abilities and services with other families.

I am able to work with children and elderly of all ages, and am fluent in English and Chinese, as well as Teochew and Cantonese.

We are very happy with Marie’s caregiving services. She showed genuine concern for my mother & tried to discuss topics of interest with my mother to stimulate her memory. Marie also provided reports for each visit including very detailed reports of what my mother shared with her during each session J. Wong
