Kin Sing has worked for over 10 years as an occupational therapist, spending a large part of her career helping set up the occupational therapy department and managing the outpatient team in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. She has also worked with inpatient clients suffering from stroke, acute medical or geriatric conditions, as well as clients with upper limb injuries of orthopedic nature. Kin Sing specialises in upper limb rehabilitation and has extensive experience working with clients with various orthopedic upper limb injuries. These include but are not limited to – fractures (of the humerus, forearm or hand), tendon injuries & repair (flexors and extensors), and repetitive strain injuries of the upper limb (such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Trigger finger). In addition, upper limb rehabilitation post-stroke, particularly handwriting training, is also one of her interest areas.
Kin Sing is constantly keeping up to date with current evidence-based practice and engages in keen discussions with her peers on case studies regularly. A strong believer in empowering her clients, Kin Sing provides quality education on their conditions in relation to their individual situations, making sure that each client receives tailored knowledge and skills for better self-management. This reduces overdependence on therapy services, allowing her to spend more quality time with each client.
