At 35 years old, I thought I was healthy and fit, doing my usual running and typical workout routine at gym, but my body did not feel the same as before. I had back pain and numbness, and I struggled with frequent episodes of back strain from bending and lifting heavy stuffs. I found it difficult to keep my weight too. My last draw was when I experienced a sharp shooting pain up my lower back after a heavy lifting, which was so bad that I could not sit. I consulted a spine specialist and was informed that - and fortunately for me too - it was just a bad hamstring strain. I went for physiotherapy and learned to swim while nursing my back.

At the same time, I read widely about health, nutrition and fitness where I discover the simple principle of practical diet and functional workout to keep my mind and body healthy and conditioned at all time. This know-how is powerful. Now, I am not only confident in my own health and fitness but also stronger and independent for my own health and fitness knowing that the principle can be adapted to age as I grow older. To share this know-how, I took certification courses to be fitness trainer with Singapore Sports Council and American Council for Exercise so that I could qualify myself to develop and teach my workout programme - I am Trim and Fit for Life (TM).

I graduated with B. Sc (Hons) with Biochemistry and Microbiology major from School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. I have extensive work experience in various commercial and leadership roles in the pharmaceutical, biotech and life science industry.

I believe that everyone can progressively regain their health because the body is capable of healing itself if we are patient and consistent in our practice. Now, and approaching my 50s, I am still Trim and Fit.

I took up the Trim & Fit training program for almost a few years ago with my family, I was not fat during that time. Trying to lose some weight, maintain keep fit & healthy. Yet it’s was my husband who was diagnosed with mild diabetics, my son was less active. Initially we weren't sure if the program will benefit us. Hence, we took up a 12 weeks’ exercise program with BK. During his training, he leaded us to understand the fundamental of having such program. His training has no fancy gym, no heavy or running or tracking machines during the training. All we need were 1 towel & bottle of water. Rain or shine. We were always a place to workout. No excuse for us! After 12 weeks, we feel much better, eat with cautions. Small meals & maintain the regular his exercise 2-3 times a week. We build a stronger family bonding as well to exercise together. Our best achievement to climb up & down of 50 storey building @ Pinnacle Duxton!! Husband’s diabetics has great improvement.
