Modified Basic Life Support Workshop
MODIFIED BLS WORKSHOP
1 Day Course (8am to 5:30pm)
The workshop will equip healthcare professionals and all employees/employers with the knowledge and skills to render basic life support in accident and emergency situations. The aim of this workshop is to educate participants in the application of AED combined with CPR specifically on adult.
At the end of the workshop participants should be able to:
- understand the components of basic life support
- demonstrate the technique of assessing collapsed victim
- demonstrate the technique of performing chest compression and rescue breathing
- demonstrate proper method of AED application
- demonstrate method of positioning an unconscious breathing victim in the recovery position.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is designed for healthcare professionals including registered nurses, paramedics from hospitals and private ambulance services, caregivers and all level of employees and employers.

0830- Introduction to Ice breaking & BLS course
0850- Lecture: Chain of Survival
0930- Tea break
1000- Skill station 1: Adult CPR one rescuer
1100- Skill station 2: Adult CPR two rescuers
1200- Skill station 3: AED and recovery position
1400- Skill station 4: Adult choking
1500- Theory exam
1600- Practical exam
1700- Certificate ceremony
Participants will be awarded with Certificate of Attendance upon course completion.
