I have been volunteering at a hospice for over 10 years, assisting the nurses by giving sponge baths to patients, as well as feeding, befriending and accompanying them to their appointments outside the hospice (medical, dental, vision, financial, etc).
If you need someone to take care of a loved one who is sick, elderly or recovering from an illness, give me a call. I would be happy to offer companionship, accompany them to activities, social events or appointments and ensure that they adhere to their medication, diet and exercise plans.
If necessary, I can also assist with feeding, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, laundry, bed making and garbage removal.
Below is some feedback I have received from the nurses at the hospice:
· “You are so patient and gentle. Thank you from my heart”
· “I am so grateful for your steadiness, your kindness and your huge heart”
· “Thank you for your commitment and dedication to care for our patients”
Besides practical experience assisting with the sick and elderly, I also have a certificate in Eldercare from Nanyang Polytechnic.
I am certified in the use of both CPR and AEDs.
